BARLEY
Barley is a winter crop, very resistant to low temperatures that belongs to the cereal family.
We can mention two main species, Hordeum distichum, used for brewing and Hordeum hexastichum, intended for animal consumption, but both grouped under Hordeum vulgare.
It is a cereal high in fiber and slow-digesting carbohydrates, which also provides minerals.
